INDIAN
MAGAZINE CHARGING ADAPTORS
INDIA FILLER, MAGAZINE, 1A
This
image, from a drawing of the Indian made Filler, Magazine, 1A is
basically a copy of the British Magazine Charging Adaptor and dates
from 1976, although the drawing was sealed in 1967 and the earliest
Chargers I've seen so far date from 1964. This leads to the question,
were India using imported Fillers before they started manafacturing
their own?
Anyone have an Indian marked " 1005-001738 " example?
Markings: ✝ 1005-001738 along with the Ø makers mark and year in 2 digits e.g. 1005-001738 P.C.I. 67
Finish: Stoving black over a phosphated
finish.
INDIA 1A1
RIFLE and 1A1 MACHINE GUN (Bren) MAGAZINE CHARGING ADAPTOR
Manufactured along the same
pattern as the standard FAL MCA, this version has a larger
slot at the front so it can accept the 'inch' pattern locking
lug that is standard on the 1A and 3A1 magazines. Don't
confuse this with FAL MCA's that have been modified for use
with 'inch' magazines as this has a rougher finish and the
corners of the flanges haven't been rounded like the standard
FAL model.
Markings: None.
Finish: Black paint over a phosphated
finish.
